Hees Family History

The Hees Family arrived through Castle Garden in New York on August 16 1854 from Germany.  As a family of Farmers, The Hees Family settled in the Detroit, MI area now knows as the East Village. Johannes Hees came to the USA with his sons, including John Heinrick Hees, in 1854. His son, Henry Fred Hees, was the father of  Henry Hiram Hees, who was the father of Gary G Hees. Gary passed away in 1997. His estate started  The Hees Family Foundation and was created by Garys brother, Ronald D Hees.
